Everett Lawrence Adams II (E. L.)  is a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO) and The College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP). He obtained his degree at Tennessee Technological University. E. L. has over 10 years of experience working with youth and adolescents (6-22) and often their parents in the areas of educational, counseling, and clinical psychology in the United States and Canada. E. L. has worked in varied settings including school boards, university, and private practice settings. In these settings, E. L. has administered assessments to help explore potential challenges that could impact an individual's ability to learn as well as their overall well-being. Some challenges could be educational such as learning disorders, ADHD, perfectionistic thinking, post-high school decisions and processing deficits, as well as well-being difficulties including anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, etc. These assessments often include the exploration of internalized issues such as low self-concept, underdeveloped social skills and boundaries, and sometimes performance-based worries. Not all assessments will result in the need for a diagnosis, but they will always provide current data on the development of abilities, strengths and weaknesses for the individual's learning profile so that parents, teachers, and other professionals in their circle of care can best try to support them.
