How Much Should You Spend on Wall-Buys? A Cost-Benefit Breakdown

Hey fellow survivors!

Let’s talk about the financial aspect of wall-buys in Citadelle des Morts. With so many options, it can be tempting to grab every weapon you see, but let’s analyze how cost-effective each weapon truly is. Below, I’ll break down the costs and compare them to their usefulness across various rounds.

Early Rounds (1-10)

  • MP5 (1000 Points): As one of the most affordable wall-buys, the MP5 is extremely cost-efficient. At only 1000 points, it’s great for opening up pathways and building up points in the early rounds. However, after Round 10, its damage starts to fall off, so be ready to upgrade.

  • M16 (1200 Points): The M16 offers great value for its price. With its burst fire, it's incredibly ammo-efficient, and you can use it well up until Round 15-20. However, you may want to start saving for a higher damage weapon soon after that.

  • AK-47 (1500 Points): The AK-47 is a little pricier, but it's a great choice for mid-game, offering both decent damage and a solid rate of fire. In the early rounds, it’s also a good way to rack up points.

Mid-to-Late Rounds (10-25)

  • SPAS-12 (1500 Points): While this shotgun isn’t ideal for the early rounds, its power at close range in later rounds makes it a solid investment. It’s ideal for close-quarters defense, though it does have slower reload times, so beware.

  • G36C (2000 Points): This rifle is a top-tier weapon in the mid-to-late rounds, and the extra cost is definitely justified by its rate of fire and reliable performance. At 2000 points, it’s not as cheap as the MP5, but it’s worth every penny in terms of sustained fire.
