Job description:
Mainstream Therapy is looking for a Part Time therapist to join our growing team of collaborative professionals. Specifically, we are looking for an individual to take on a part-time caseload supporting children and youth (age 5-18 years).
We are a holistic mental health counseling practice located in the north end of Barrie. We strive to provide a supportive, non-judgmental environment to work alongside our clients for success; whatever that might look like for them. Within our clinic we serve children, adults, couples and families.
Requirements:

Degree in Social Service/Social Work

Licence to practice the Controlled Act of Psychotherapy by an approved governing body (e.g. OCSWSSW, CRPO etc) Yorkville qualifying therapists are ineligible

Liability insurance (or ability to obtain after being hired)

Experience in private practice preferred, experience with children & youth is mandatory

Strong clinical skills - assessment, counseling, and discharge planning/community integration, crisis intervention.

Familiarity and ability to practice using a variety of modalities; CBT, DBT, EFT, IFST, etc. as well as current knowledge of best practices for children and youth

Commitment to professional development

Demonstrated ability to document according to college standard

Demonstrated ability to function independently and be self-directed to think critically and problem solve effectively

Knowledge of community resources in the Barrie and surrounding areas, willing to familiarize yourself with other community resources where appropriate.
