Jessica Poirier

Affordable Student-Led Clinic Counsellor

Hi there, I’m Jess! I’m a queer-identifying person currently in my final year of the Honours Bachelor of Counselling Psychology program at Georgian College.

Professionally, I believe counselling should be a collaborative and accessible partnership. My professional lens is deeply rooted in a strengths-based, solution-focused, relational, and client-focused approach. My goal is to provide a safe space where we can work together to build your confidence, explore communication skills, strengthen emotional regulation, or navigate relational hurdles. My focus is on helping you build regulation tools, self-awareness, trust in yourself, and to ensure you feel supported.

My motivation to work in this field is rooted in my own lived experience. Counselling and community care gave me the tools to navigate life’s complexities and it’s an honor to hold that space for others now.

Fun facts about me: I love the immersion of video games just as much as I love a long hike in the woods.

Please feel free to book a consult with me to see if we're a good fit 😊
